2005 '98 Plymouth Neon Race Setup

Drivetrain: 2.0L DOHC 20 thought over custom JE 9.8:1 Pistons, Eagle H-Beam Rods bushed for full float pistons, Clevite main & rod bearing, Melling Oil Pump (which I might replace with Mopar OE due to low idle oil pressure), Crane 0016 or Crower 3/4 Race cams to be determined by dyno results, CNNP Ported/Blackdog Coated cylinder head, Blackdog Intake manifold w/ handlaid fiberglass intake and two newest toys: Canton racing 6.5Qt oil pan and Canton louvered windage tray. Suspension: Koni double adjustable struts revalved and converted by TrueChoice, Mopar X-hi rate springs (F&R) and other new addition, the NeonGoodies.com engineered Monster swabars measuring in at 29mm front, 25mm rear. These feature hollow tube technology to yield great increases in stiffness while maintaining stockway bar weigh! Front is 230% stiffer, rear is approx 500% stiffer & adjustable. $299 gets you a set.

Brakes: 2003 PL knuckle machined to fit 1st gen strut bracket width and running srt-4 bearing and hubs along with 2001+ Magnum/ATX axles on both sides. Calipers are also out of a 2003 that were stripped, powdercoated and reloaded with fresh seals and bushings. Lines are custom stainless lines from www.raceshopper.com

1998 Plymouth Neon 188,000 miles on the clock. The motor was rebuilt towards the end of 2001 and has little over 10,000 miles on it. Rebuilt with/ custom 9.8:1 20 over JE pistons, Eagle rods, Clevite bearings, CNNP Ported and Blackdog ceramic coated DOHC head, Mopar Race header, Crane 0016 cams, stock intake manifold (for now !!) and 57.8mm bored stock throttle body. Tranny is a 2001 3.94 final drive spec gearbox with 95-99 cable clutch bellhousing running a Quaife LSD with upgraded axle and my 11" brake kit to provide stopping power!
